Ellie Gaber

Ellie Gaber is a Professor of Interior Design at Palomar College in San Marcos, California. She received her B.A. in the field of Interior Design and her M.A. in the field of Computer Graphics from the New York Institute of Technology. Her professional experiences include designing high-end residential/hospitality for complex commercial contract disciplines in corporate interiors, tenant improvements, healthcare, retail, and restaurants. She has served as an in-house designer and project manager for companies like Bear Stearns, Citibank, Chase Manhattan, and Rady Children’s Hospital. Additionally, Gaber is a licensed realtor and has been remodeling and renovating residential homes in Southern California for the past 12 years. Gaber currently teaches a variety of courses at Palomar College, including ID 100- Introduction to Interior design, ID 110- Interior design business practice, ID125- Interior design presentational skills, ID 130- Color and lighting, ID140 residential design, ID141- Commercial design, ID 115- History of decorative arts, ID 150 AutoCAD for beginners, ID 105 Materials and Resources and, ID 170- Space planning. The accelerated online certificate program is geared toward advancing graduates with cohesive knowledge, enhancing their passion and presentational skills to support them with marketing their talents in a competitive world of digital design and today's technology.
